What is 2Ether?
2Ether is a new digital currency based on the Ethereum blockchain. Unlike the ERC20 token, it's a completely independent cryptocurrency - with its own blockchain, mining incentives, and so on. It fully supports smart contracts written in Solidity and is compatible with Ethereum dApps.
2Ether's team has several main goals:
1) Encourage independent CPU / GPU mining tools
and protect them from the dominance of mining farms using ASIC hardware. This is especially important when the block rewards in Ethereum have been cut by a third and the market price is still quite low. Mining Ethereum has stopped making profits, pushing small mining companies out of the market. We recognize that inflation can be a problem for any cryptocurrency, so rewards should be reduced over time. But that's not true when ASIC farms survive in any market condition thanks to their economic size, while GPU mining companies suffer. 2Ether solve this problem thanks to the innovative dynamic block reward system. Basic rewards are reduced over time. At the same time, it automatically adjusts to the current price. Finally, miners with low hashrate content will receive an additional increase.
2) Give dApp developers an affordable audit tool.
Smart contract auditing is very important, as it helps protect investors' money. Unfortunately, blockchain security companies charge very high fees even for the simplest audit and many of these companies do not provide quality services.
